Back Pain?

We use a variety of methods to address back pain. Sports massage, spinal manipulation, cupping, corrective exercise, and therapeutic modalities are commonly used for our back pain patients at SD Sports Physical Therapy. It’s important to note that back pain is often unique to the individual and requires a full evaluation and one-on-one care. That is why it’s critical to call and book your evaluation with a licensed specialist.

If you are experiencing any back pain, please come see us for an evaluation.  You don't need a Doctor's referral to be treated by a Physical Therapist

An estimated 80 percent of the population world wide will experience back pain at some point in their lives. It is the single leading cause preventing people from participating in activities of daily living, work and sports - and it is the most common condition we see at SD Sports Physical Therapy.
If you have back pain or stiffness - it's common to make the assumption that your pain will go away. While sometimes back pain does resolve on its own - a lot of the time it doesn't. Often times what we see with our patients who make this assumption is that they end up in a position where they are relying on medications and are no longer able to perform their day to day activities. We encourage you to seek us immediately when back pain comes on so we can identify the source and address it accordingly. The source of back pain can be from a wide variety of structures, including muscles, intervertebral discs, joints within the spine, or nerves that are exiting the spine. At SDSPT we take the time to provide a full evaluation to identify what is going on, and we come up with a game plan to immediately address the source of the pain.
